The Waiting Intensifies

Lord,
Christmas is in one week. The waiting becomes more intense, the anticipation stronger. I feel the desire for Your coming rising within me.
May this last week be truly spiritual. May I not be carried away only by material preparations, but continue to prepare my heart.
Grant me to stay focused on what matters. On You who are coming, on this encounter that approaches, on this extraordinary event we are about to celebrate.
