Christmas also reminds us of the vulnerability of childhood. Jesus came as a defenseless child. So many children today are victims of violence.
We think of all the children who are victims. Of war, violence, poverty, abuse. So many innocents suffer.
Awaken our conscience. May we protect children, defend their dignity, fight against everything that harms them.
