Self-Love
"Love your neighbor as yourself."
— Matthew 22:39
Lord,
You call me to love my neighbor as myself. But sometimes, I realize I don't truly love myself. I am harsh with myself, critical, merciless toward my mistakes.
Teach me to love myself in a healthy way, not with selfish love, but with a love that recognizes my worth, accepts my imperfections, and celebrates my qualities. Help me treat myself with the same kindness I would offer to others.
May I look at myself with Your eyes, see in me that precious creature You wanted to be unique. May love for myself be the foundation from which I can truly love others.
Amen.

Reflection
We can only give what we possess. How can you show yourself kindness today? A moment of rest, an encouraging word to yourself?
For those who struggle with self-esteem and self-compassion.
