Community
"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them."
— Matthew 18:20
God of communion,
I am not made to live alone. I need others, their presence, their support, their love. Yet sometimes, I isolate myself, cut myself off, believe I can be self-sufficient.
Remind me of the importance of community. These people who walk with me, who carry me when I falter, who celebrate my victories with me. Help me cultivate these bonds, invest in these relationships.
May I also offer my presence to others, be there for them as they are there for me. Together, we are stronger, wiser, more capable of facing life.
Amen.
