Accepting Your Limits

"My grace is sufficient for you."

— 2 Corinthians 12:9

Lord,

I have limits. Physical, emotional, intellectual. I cannot do everything, succeed at everything, carry everything. This reality sometimes frustrates me, makes me feel inadequate.

Help me recognize my limits without shame. They are not flaws but characteristics of my human condition. To accept myself as limited is to accept being human, vulnerable, dependent on others and on You.

May I stop comparing myself to those who seem to have no limits. May I learn to say no when I reach my limits, to ask for help when I need it, to rest when I am tired.

Amen.

Reflection

What limit do you have trouble accepting? How could you make peace with this limit rather than fighting against it?

For those who fight against their limits instead of accepting them.
