Strength in Weakness

"When I am weak, then I am strong."

— 2 Corinthians 12:10

Lord,

The world values strength, performance, invincibility. But You show me a paradox: it is in my acknowledged weakness that my true strength is found.

Help me accept my weakness. Not to wallow in it, but to humbly recognize my limits. It is when I stop pretending to be strong that I can receive help, grow, lean on You.

May my vulnerability not be a shame but an opening. An opening to Your grace, to others, to a strength that does not come from me but flows through my cracks.

Amen.

Reflection

What weakness do you have trouble accepting? How could it become a door to a different kind of strength?

For all those who carry the burden of having to appear strong.
