Generosity
"It is more blessed to give than to receive."
— Acts 20:35
God of infinite generosity,
You shower me with so many gifts: life, love, relationships, the beauties of creation. Yet I sometimes tend to withdraw into myself, to jealously guard what I have, out of fear of lacking.
Open my heart and my hands. Teach me the joy of giving without calculation, of sharing without expecting anything in return. Whether it is my time, my attention, my talents, or my material goods, help me offer them with simplicity.
Help me understand that the more I give, the more I receive. That generosity does not impoverish but enriches, that it creates bonds and spreads light around me.
Amen.

Reflection
Generosity can take a thousand forms. Today, what small generous gesture could you make? A smile, a sincere compliment, a bit of your time?
For those who live in fear of scarcity and find it hard to share.
